Seasons
April-Smaller stripers that spend the winter in the surrounding area mixed with some “chunky” herring eating fish.
May- Arrival of migratory Striped Bass and towards the end of the month we typically see the arrival of Bluefish that can be some of the most fun fishing of the year as they come in large schools.
June- Bluefish and trophy Striped Bass fishing inshore and on the bunker schools. All those fish that end up off Block Island and the classic New England destination fisheries come right by us…
July-August- Every year is different. Recently, it has been strong all summer. The fishing stays as hot as the temps!
September- The fall run starts to get going with Albies showing up mid-month typically. Good month to get a slam: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Albie, and if you are extra lucky an Atlantic Bonito or Spanish Mackerel.
October-November- Blitz season! Albies, Bluefish, and Striped Bass. The best pure fly months of the year.
